For 119 days, Baltimore Ravens QB, Joe Flacco, was the highest paid quarterback. That is until Indianapolis Colts QB, Andrew Luck, signed a six-year deal worth $140 million; which surpassed Flaccos’ extension of $22.133 million per year. This newly signed contract keeps Luck in Indiana through 2021. Jim Irsay, Colts Owner, tweets the following:
No question, he has earned his spot as highest paid, throwing a total of 101 touchdown passes and 14,800+ passing yards. Only having played seven games last season due to a lacerated kidney and abdominal tear, that doesn’t take away from the records broken and playoff games won all being led by the franchise player.
